Judi has worked as a nurse, midwife, health visitor and Director of Public Health. She has over 40 years of experience across the NHS, Local Authorities, and voluntary and community groups. In 2008 Judi received an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for her services to health care and for developing community relations. She has undertaken several voluntary roles, including Founder of Twins Trust UK, Governor at a local Hospital and assist ESOL training with refugees. Judi is of South African Indian origin and values fairness, respect, and equal opportunities.

Judi’s vision for SMEF is to become a resource for minoritised communities to enable them to reach their full potential, and for SMEF to work with partner organisations to promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
