Hayet Shahrezaey, was born in Tunisia and at the age of 11 her family migrated to Canada. Fast forward at the age of 26 years she got married to an Iranian whilst working in UAE. She then moved with her husband to Guildford Surrey, where she pursued her studies at Guildford College and worked to support her growing family. Hayet is a mother and a grandmother. Since her arrival to the UK in 1990, she has also served as a member of the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Guildford whilst promoting unity in diversity and community service. Hayet speaks Frensh, Persian, and is a qualified Arabic interpreter, she has worked at Police stations, the Courts and Hospitals. She is also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Certified and Accredited Holistic Therapist and runs a Rapid Empowerment Practice in the Guildford Institute.
As a Trustee of SMEF Hayet ensures that Refugee families are supported, her vision is for SMEF to act as a safety net, helping refugees integrate and settle in Surrey. She also runs an online drop in weekly 30 minutes devotional/reflection session, to help SMEF members and the wider community with their wellbeing, and spiritual growth.”
