Meeta has been living in Guildford for 29 years, she is a qualified Physicist, IT Telecoms Engineer/trainer, Media & Developmental communication professional, and an accredited Strength scope consultant. She has worked in private, public, semi-government and NGO sector, across international culture, with multi-national/ multidisciplinary teams. A Community organisation awarded her recently at the Houses of Parliament for her community work.
She has managed multimillion pounds IT/Telecoms projects for blue chip organisations such as Ericsson, Vodafone in the UK and has worked as TV Producer, Director, Editor for low budget Higher Educational TV for National Telecast in India. She has worked at grass root level abroad and she has works here too with the charities, she a cultural visionary, ambassador of peace, and interfaith speaker, and does honorary chaplaincy work at university and college. She is passionate about coaching individuals, empowering women, and support human rights. She speaks at virtual parallel sessions at UN HQ in New York for Commission of Status of Women. Revd. Pt. Meeta also attends faith related AGM in the Europe and International Chaplaincy conference.
She would like to help SMEF raise its profile even further as an independent organisation and to work towards influencing future policies for members from various ethnicity. Meeta would also like to enhance SMEF’s multicultural diverse ethos to strive to a higher portfolio and unite faith communities to collaborate for celebratory, cooperative and mutually respectful peaceful coexistence.
