Ethnic Minority Group Membership

We offer Ethnic Minority Group Membership to community groups and collectives of Black and Minoritised Ethnic residents of Surrey. Our membership is free.

Be the voice of your group, as a member, you become an integral part of our representative list, granting you the opportunity to actively participate in SMEF's diverse range of activities. Here are some examples of the events that we have organised:

  • Health based workshops

  • Drop in sessions (Health & Integration)

  • Community safety workshops

  • Community engagement events

  • Faith-link forums

  • All our members also receive our monthly newsletter

We offer training, information and advice to help you to:

  • Fundraise

  • Set up monitoring and evaluation systems

  • Develop new projects

  • Set up partnership projects

  • Take a strategic overview of your service

  • Influence change by contributing to discussions and decision making at a local level

  • Keep up to date on the policies that affect you and your work

  • Access resources for your community or voluntary group

Your membership ensures not only representation but also active participation in initiatives that make a meaningful impact on both your community and SMEF's endeavours. We can also make referrals to other agencies and provide references as well as provide opportunities to interact with other members to help develop good practice, information sharing and partnership working.
