Minoritised Ethnic Stakeholders Reference Group

Our Minoritised Ethnic Stakeholder Reference Group (MESRG) brings together a group of volunteers, representing minoritised ethnic communities from across Surrey to discuss a range of issues and share our views with public sector partners such as Surrey County Council and district and borough councils. We talk about:

  • Racial Inequalities

  • Unemployment

  • Poverty

  • Gender Bias

  • LGBTQ+ Rights

  • Education & Training

  • Housing

  • Environment

  • Adult Social Care

  • Mental Health

  • Policing

  • State Benefits

  • Entrepreneurship, Self-Employment and Business

Funded by the Surrey County Council, this project aims to engage, educate and empower Ethnic Minority communities and help services develop to better meet the needs of our communities. We also provide training to our volunteers on how they can best make their respective communities aware of health care and social issues confidently and openly. For more information, please contact Manjit Kalsi at Manjit.Kalsi@smef.org.uk
