Covid disproportionately affected people from Black and minority ethnic communities. National research has also found that Black and minority ethnic people are disproportionately falling faster and further below the poverty line because of the cost of living crisis. But what’s happening here and now in Surrey?
Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum wanted to hear the views and voices of local people to enable us to support the needs of Black and minority ethnic communities as effectively as possible, and to share the collective views of our communities with public sector partners. Our Needs Based Assessment report summarises the findings from a series of focus groups held across Surrey in December 2022.
